Restart a HEART – CPR Training Evening – 7:00PM – 5th March 2026 – Stiffkey Village Hall
Join the Stiffkey Community First Responders for a Restart a HEART CPR training evening, designed for everyone – whether you’ve never tried CPR before or whether you want to refresh and maintain your lifesaving skills.
This practical, relaxed session will cover how to recognise a cardiac arrest, perform effective CPR, and confidently use a defibrillator. No prior experience is needed, and those with previous training are encouraged to attend to keep their skills up to date and build confidence.
Learning CPR can make a real difference in an emergency. Everyone is welcome – come along, ask questions, and gain skills that could help save a life.

Community Transport Scheme
Stiffkey Parish Council would like to support the establishment of a transport scheme that will provide a service – at little or no cost, to help collect prescriptions for those not able, as well as to provide transport for attendance at medical appointments – whether it be the doctors or further afield to a hospital appointment.
The idea of the scheme is to help ease the worry and difficulty for those residents who need to travel for medical reasons. Transport would be booked and then provided from your home to the medical appointment and then home again. The driver would wait while any appointment takes place and be ready for the journey home as soon as it is finished.
To assess the potential benefits of this scheme, the Parish Council invites you to complete this form. This will help us gauge the number of residents who might need assistance, and identify those interested in volunteering as drivers, booking coordinators, or who would like to be involved in managing the charity that will oversee the scheme.
Defibrillator
After successfully fundraising more than £2,000, Stiffkey Parish Council has installed a defibrillator in the village.
The defibrillator is located in the old phone box, which is located on Wells Road, at the bottom of Hollow Lane.

Accompanying the installation of the defibrillator, the Parish Council is providing the opportunity for as many residents as possible to undertake training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). CPR can help save a life during cardiac arrest when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. Proper CPR can keep the blood pumping until help arrives and can double or triple the chances of survival after a cardiac arrest.
Our Community First Responder team are prepared to help us train as many people as possible in this life-saving technique. The first training evening was held on the 28th of November 2024 in the Village Hall. Eighteen people attended.
